How to copy a place June 18, 2009

Problem: You want to copy a place but do not know how.

Solution:

1. Run ROBLOX Studio. Browse to the place page. Click Edit.
2. Once inside you can do one of several things.
   1. Choose File Menu > Save As, and save the world to your computer and under the name you want. You can then edit the place to your liking.
   2. Choose Publish to ROBLOX and put it in one of your place slots. You can add more slots on your My ROBLOX page if you are in Builder’s Club.

Note: Before deciding to publish the place that you copied, be sure to ask the person you copied from first! If the users map is CopyLocked and you want it make your own version, be sure to notify the creator. It’s polite

How to make Decals June 18, 2009

Decals are regular images that players can put on bricks and other objects in ROBLOX. Decals are similar to T-Shirts in nearly every way except you can not wear them. They are uploaded the same way as T-Shirts and can be kept for yourself or give away in the Public Domain.

This tutorial will show you how to upload a Decal.

Steps

1) Create an image with an image editor program such as MS Paint

2) Save it to your desktop

3) Click on My ROBLOX

4) Click on Decals

5) Click on Create

6) Click on “Browse” (to find your newly created Decal, which is on your Desktop).

7) Click OK

8) Click Create Decal

9) Wait for a moderator to approve your (non-TOS violating) Decal.

How to remove tools from your place June 18, 2009

Removing Tools From Your Place

Removing tools from your place is just as easy as adding them. To start, make sure you have opened your place in edit mode or solo mode.

To remove tools from your StarterPack,

Go to Insert, then Clear Tools in Starterpack.

Keep in mind that your are removing your tools from your place, and you may not be able to get them back!

Don’t forget to save your place once you have finished!

How to stop people from deleting your place when you are building June 18, 2009

If you’re trying to build your place and people are coming in and deleting it, don’t worry!  You can stop this by doing the following:

1. Build in ROBLOX Studio or in Solo Mode
2. Remove the Delete Tool from your Starter Pack

And just in case, once everyone leaves your place, it will reset to the previously saved version as long as you don’t save over it.
